個人安全裝備 Personal Protective equipment (PPE)

繩子檢查(攀爬繩、流纜繩、耐熱繩)
繩子最小斷裂強度 24kn(5400 磅)
不得有光澤的區域(熱傷害)、繩索直徑不一致(內部損壞)、有變色(化學傷害)、僵硬(松樹汁液)
Glossy, glazed areas(heat damage)
Inconsistent rope diameter (internal damage)
discoloration(chemical contamination)
stiffiness(exposure to pine pitch)
不得有被剪、脫線、過度磨損區域
確認繩尾端有燒熔、粘合或是密封，防止繩子散開
Ensure that rope end are sealed by melting, taping and/or whipping to prevent unraveling
攀樹繩系統定期換邊
Regularly rotate the climbing system form one rope end to the other. cut off worn rope ends when necessary.
繩眼有沒有縫起或保護

檢查帶扣、D環是否有裂縫或是變形等現象
檢查快扣是否正常
Inspect saddle for cuts in material, arbrade webbing, and broken stitching.
Check to see that rivets and grommets are not loose, bent, or missing.
Inspect buckles, d-rings, and hooks for cracks or any sign of distortion
Check for elongated holes in waist strap

檢查安全繩固定點，扣環、繩眼外觀是否正常，有沒有過度磨損，尾端的打結是否正確，有沒有縫線

inspect rope lanyards and prusiks for wear as you would climbing lines.
examine lanyard terminations termination used to secure the connecting device(carabiner,rope snap, or screwlink): inspect back splices, rope, and wire eye splices for wear. ensure that knots are tied, dressed, and set properly.
ensure that the length adjuster is functioning properly, replace 'quick lock' pins found on gibbs and microcenders with a bolt and lock nut, if a friction hitch in being use as a lanyard adjuster, check for signs

確認外觀有沒有過裂縫、銳利的邊緣、腐蝕、毛刺、或是過度磨損。
ensure that surfaces are free of cracks, sharp edges, corrosion, burrs, or excessive wear. hand sand any burrs with 220-400 grade sandpaper
確保能輕鬆的打關，並確定能夠自動關閉上鎖，如果發生卡住，可以空氣將砂吹出，或用溫暖肥皂水沖洗，在彈簧機構週邊用石墨潤滑。
make sure gate open and close quickly and easily. be sure the locking mechanism closes freely and completely, if sticking occurs, use an airhose to blow out grit, wash in warm soapy water, rinse, and lubricate with dry graphite around the hinge area, spring hole, and locking mechanism
鉚釘不得彎曲，鬆動或缺失，如發現有缺陷則丟棄！
rivets must not be bent, loose, or missing, discard if found defective!
