How to use silky saws properly

․Silky saws are designed to cut on the pull stroke. The thin blades will not bow because they are under tension while being pulled across the surface to be cut.

․If your saw ever becomes caught actions may damage the blade. Always lift the weight off the blade to release the saw.

․Silky’s precision engineering results in a fine kerf, very little force in needed to saw. So ,do not use muscle to speed up your sawing. Let the saw do the work for you while you pull it across the wood.

․Impulse hardened blades(insert the sign of impulse hardening) cannot be re sharpened by a hand file.

․Keep your blades clean by using a solvent. Keep the solvent away from the handle.

․When not in use. Sstore the saw in a protective sheath and away from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

․Silly is not responsible for any damage resulting  from the misuse of silky saws.

Warnings for all saws in sheath

․Always wear protective eye wear when using this saw. Flying debris may result when using the saw.

․Never use this saw on or near energized electrical circuits. Contact with an energized circuit could result in an electric shock.

․Always wear work gloves when using this product and when changing the saw blade. The saw blade is very sharp.

․Keep hands and other body parts away from saw blade.

․Always store the saw its sheath when not in use

․Only use silky brand replacement blades with this product. Other blades may not perform safely with this saw.

․Always inspect the saw before using. Do not use if the blade is loose or if the blade is bent or damaged.

․This products should only be used to cut trees, branches and dry wood. This saw is not intended for any other use.


․Keep out of the reach of children. This saw should only be used by adults who have read and understand these warnings.
